Barbara, Office Manager, Registered Dental Hygienist

Barbara has worked in the dental field for more that 30 years, first as a dental assistant, and then as a Registered Dental Hygienist. She has been with Dr. Mendez from the start of his practice in Austin, and with the original dentist for 19 years. As a young child, Barbara was a “military brat,” but is proud to call Austin home for over 40 years. When she’s not in the office, Barbara enjoys spending time with her husband, her daughter, Ashlee, and her dog, Pasha. She also enjoys traveling.

Desireé, Registered Dental Assistant

Desireé is a native Austinite, and has lived in Austin most of her life. She has been a Registered Dental Assistant for over 16 years, and has worked with Dr. Mendez for 2 years. Desireé enjoys working with all patients, and especially enjoys working with new patients during their first appointment with us. In her spare time, Desireé loves to spend time with her family and friends on the lake.

Michele, Registered Dental Assistant

Michele is a graduate of Allied Health Careers, and has over 10 years of experience as a Dental Assistant. She has enjoyed working for Dr. Mendez for the last year. Michele has extensive dental knowledge, and may be found assisting at the front desk at times. In her personal life, Michele grew up on the south Texas coast, but is happy to call central Texas her home. She enjoys spending time with her family when she is not at work.

Brenda, Registered Dental Hygienist

Brenda was raised in the small west Texas town of Fort Stockton. She entered the field of dentistry in 1999 as a dental assistant while attending college. After graduating from El Paso Community College in 2002 as a Registered Dental Hygienist, Brenda settled in Austin. For the past seven years she has enjoyed the process of patient education and building relationships with her hygiene patients. Brenda and her husband enjoy their two beautiful cats, Torino and Xena, and are planning to expand their family with two dogs in the near future. In her spare time you will find Brenda enjoying the outdoors, relaxing by the pool, kayaking down the river, mountain biking, fishing, and at times, skydiving!

About Our Office

Orland Park dentist office

Positive Childhood Dental Experiences

We understand that many children feel scared or uneasy about dental visits, and we always treat our younger patients with extra sensitivity and care. Our friendly and gentle manner will help your child feel at ease in our care, and having a positive dental experience during childhood can encourage a lifetime of good oral habits. We strive to make your child’s dental visits comfortable, comprehensive, and most of all, fun!

A Clean & Safe Practice

We go above and beyond the American Dental Association (ADA) and OSHA recommended standards for a clean and safe dental practice. Before your visit, we disinfect all of our equipment in a designated area with state-of-the-art dental sterilization technology. We also sanitize each room between patients—all because your safety and comfort are our top priority. We worry about the cleanliness of our office so you’ll never have to.

For Your Comfort

Because every aspect of your dental experience is important to us, we have amenities to make our office feel more like home, including blankets and warm, scented towels in all of our treatment rooms to keep you comfortable throughout your visit.

Information & Accommodations

We empower you to make smart, educated choices for your oral health and smile enhancements through patient education and individual consultations. We are equipped with an intraoral camera so you can see what we see in your mouth. We also make sure that we are well informed about your medical history, current medications, and any other factor that might affect your dental health and treatment.
